The Paradise on Earth: Bora Bora
Bora Bora is an island in the Leeward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France in the Pacific Ocean. The island, located about 230 kilometres (140 mi) northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef. In the center of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano rising to two peaks, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu, the highest point at 727 metres (2,385 ft). The original name of the island in the Tahitian language might be better rendered as Pora Pora, meaning “First Born”; an early transcription found in 18th- and 19th century accounts, is Bolabolla (or “Bollabolla”).

Nature’s Wrath: Humans Be Nice!
The human kind is the supreme ruler of the planet Earth. Top of the food chain, the most intelligent and powerful being. We are so full of ourselves that we never stop to think about the consequence. Why should we? We are so mighty that nothing can hurt us!
On the other hand these pictures tell a completely different story. Just some examples of nature’s display of its might. Indeed there is a force that is more powerful than anything we can ever build. Who knows, maybe these are just the warning signs of a planet that has had enough of us and is about to banish us from the face of Earth. Anyway, these are fun to watch.

Egypt – The land of the Pharaoh
The land of the pharaoh
Egypt, the mysterious land where it seems that anything is possible. The land of the pyramids, mummies and over 3000 year worth of history. Ancient Egypt was an ancient civilization in eastern North Africa, concentrated along the lower reaches of the Nile River in what is now the modern nation of Egypt. The civilization began around 3150 BC with the political unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under the first pharaoh, and it developed over the next three millennia. Its history occurred in a series of stable periods, known as kingdoms, separated by periods of relative instability known as Intermediate Periods. After the end of the last kingdom, known as the New Kingdom, the civilization of ancient Egypt Read more

Levkas
Levkas (Lefkadha), located some 80 km south of Corfu, can be reached by ship while making your way in or out of Greece and In combination with other Ionian Islands. But Levkas enjoys a unique distinction: it can also be reached directly by vehicles over the causeway that links the island to the mainland opposite the northeast tip. This causeway, incidentally, highlights an argument that has long divided the experts: that is, has Lavkas always been a true island or was it once simply an extension of the mainland? This question then comes down to whether the isthmus now here has always been here; some insist that it has been and point to signs of a canal that the early colonists from Corinth dug here and a bridge that the Romans then built. Others believe that the isthmus has been built up in more recent centuries by the accumulation of sand and silt – so that Levkas has to be regarded as a true island.

Goji – amazing plant
What is Goji?
There is a lot of talk about goji berries in the market today, which makes one wonder about what this so-called miracle fruit really is. The goji berries come from a vine-like plant that can sometimes reach 15-20 feet in height. This is commonly found in the Ningxia Province in China. Many people describe the goji berry plant as a mix between a grape vine, and a tomato creeper.
Legend has it that in about 800 AD, during China’s Tang Dynasty, some unidentified berries were found growing on a vine near a well next to a Tibetan Buddhist temple in the Himalayas. As time passed, these goji berries dropped off the vine and into the well. The monks who drank the water were exceptionally long-lived and healthy.
